jaxcheryl needs a tech makeover because…
My husband desperately needs a tech makeover. He is quadriplegic and is paralyzed from his shoulders down. He was a fireman before he was injured 10 years ago in a freak accident. He has no use of his arms or hands. He spends his days at home in a power wheelchair, and doesn’t like to go out much because he is in a lot of pain. He has an outdated voice recognition program on his 7 yr. old Dell desktop with a 17″ monitor. The software was programed to answer the phone, open the front door so he could get out in case of an emergency, turn on the lights and tv. It works about 50% of the time. The microphone that is compatable is no longer being made so he stockpiled what he could find on ebay but only has a few left. When the phone on the computer works he has to listen through the speaker. I would give anything for him to have a top of the line system and software that would allow him to feel safe and secure and in control of his world. As his caregiver, I would appreciate your vote. My goodness. This man’s story should put things in perspective for many of us. It’s also a vote for his wonderful wife, Cheryl, an obviously loving caregiver herself.

Where he sits l sit too BUT l still have the use of my hands!!! Please make this happen, for anyone out there could end up up just the same in the blink of an eye. Life in a chir is hard enough but to do it with out dated equipment is pure hell SO VOTE EVERYBODY!!
